Role
The Adult Discipleship Ministry Assistant exists to provide support to both the Home Groups staff and ministry as well as the Adult Discipleship team. This role provides support, planning, communication, and resources in day-to-day operations, alleviating administrative duties from the Home Groups staff to free them up to develop, lead, and minister to the church body.
Responsibilities
- Support the Home Groups staff through day-to-day calendaring, scheduling, event support, and any administrative tasks under the direction of the Home Groups Director.
- Oversee and execute the administrative aspect of assimilating men and women into groups.
- Administrative management of groups and group leader onboarding through Google Workspace, project management tools, and calendaring software.
- Manage ongoing communication with Home Group leaders and other ministries through all relevant communication channels.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
- Effective communication and interpersonal relations
- Proficient in time management
- Advanced skills in detail-oriented, administrative work
- Effective task followup and completion
- Proficient in Google Workspace and working knowledge of other church software systems
