Life Story

I was born in Seminole, Texas, and grew up in numerous places from Texas to California. I met my wife, Marianne, when I was a single dad and my daughter, Ashley, was in Marianne’s kindergarten class.

Marianne’s influence encouraged me toward faith in Christ. I was saved in 1991 and married in 1992.

My wife and I were one of the founding families at Valley Creek Church (then called Northwest Community Church and later Vista Ridge Church) and served in various roles for 19 years, including college and career ministry, home group leaders and elder.

Marianne and I began attending The Village Church in September 2012 and now serve as Home Group leaders, Home Group coaches and Steps sponsors. We also devote a lot of our time to Reconciliation Outreach Ministry, which is a non-profit, faith-based program for recovering substance addicts and abusers.

We have three grown daughters, two wonderful son-in-laws and seven grandchildren.

Hope for The Village Church

My hope for The Village is that we continue to preach truth, manifested in the hope, love, grace and power of the gospel in all things. I pray that we take seriously the challenge of making disciples who lead and impact their families, church, community, nation and world for the cause and glory of Christ.
