Life Story

I grew up in Joplin, Missouri, in a wonderful Christian home with parents who loved the Lord and taught me to love Him from an early age. I attended a Christian school from preschool until I graduated high school. My dad is a pastor, so the church was like my second home. Some of my fondest and earliest memories are learning about Jesus at church, school, and home. I knew about Jesus and the gospel, but it wasn't until I was 12 that my faith became my own. I recognized my need for Jesus and that I could never do enough to earn my salvation or God's love. I believed in Jesus and was baptized.

From an early age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I attended Missouri Southern State University and Ozark Christian College and graduated in 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught 5th grade for three years in the public school system. I also had the opportunity to visit several different countries and saw what God was doing all around the world. I met my husband, Sam, on one of those trips. We were married on June 23, 2018.

Sam and I moved to Texas in the summer of 2020 to work with a non-profit and attend graduate school. We began going to The Village Church and joined the Sending Department. We are passionate about seeing the local church mobilized to reach the nations. We are jazzed to be here at The Village Church!

Hope for The Village Church

My hope for The Village Church is that each person would abide deeply with Jesus and follow Him wherever He leads.
