From Genesis to Revelation, it is clear that God desires all people of all nations to know and worship Him. And yet there are still about 7,000 unreached people groups in the world today who have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. God calls all of us to have a role in and be a part of global missions. We are all participants in the bigger story, in God’s plan to bring redemption to all peoples. But where can you start? How can you join in?
When it comes to global missions, we have many ways you can be involved in having an impact on nations. If you’d like to learn more, please fill out our interest form, and someone from our mobilization team will follow up with you.
The Sending Program
Through our Sending Program, we equip and send you to reach the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have different processes and development plans for missionaries and church planters, but for missionaries, the program trains and equips laborers for the work of spreading the gospel among the nations.
In addition to being a Covenant Member and being involved in the life of the church, The Village requires you complete a Go Group before going through the Sending Program. Our Go Groups meet once a week to study biblical principles for making disciples, to pray for the nations and to go out in the community, looking for opportunities to share the love of Christ. We offer these groups every spring, summer and fall.
After completing a Go Group, you are eligible to apply for the global missions track of the Sending Program. Once accepted into the program, you will complete a two-year process that includes:
- Taking part in missional community
- Completing the Training Program
- Other requirements determined by the Sending Department
- Affirmation and commissioning
If you are interested in getting started or have any questions about the Sending Program, fill out our interest form.
