Role

The Young Adults Minister exists to reach and make disciples of young adults, ensuring that this vibrant and crucial season of life has a portion and purposeful place within our church community. The Young Adults Minister is a visionary leader with a heart for discipleship and a deep understanding of young adults’ unique challenges and opportunities. As part of the Next Gen team, the Young Adults Minister is an advocate for this emerging generation of disciples and leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship curriculum tailored to the specific needs and interests of young adults
  • Plan and execute discipleship programs, including connect, formational, and catalytic environments that cater to the spiritual, social, and personal development of young adults
  • Determine and monitor the Young Adults Ministry calendar and budget
  • Identify, recruit, and equip qualified individuals for the Young Adults leadership team
  • Provide ministerial care and support to young adults navigating the challenges of this season of life
  • Provide ministerial presence at weekend services and other TVC events and gatherings

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Advanced knowledge of Young Adults Ministry
  • Bachelor’s degree (seminary preferred) 
  • 2–4 years of previous ministry experience
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability
