TVC Responsibilities:
I serve alongside the Missions team to shape and strengthen clear pathways for engagement in global missions within the body of The Village Church. I help identify and develop leaders who are passionate about God’s global work, connecting them to opportunities to serve through short-term trips and outreach initiatives. I also partner with others to strengthen discipleship pathways so new believers can grow and participate in the mission of God.

When and how did the Lord save you?
The Lord saved me through my parents’ discipleship and children's ministry at First Baptist Church in Rochester, Minnesota (now Autumn Ridge Church). I was 9 years old when I surrendered my life to Christ, received the free gift of salvation, and was baptized. My life was filled with church involvement, and I LOVED IT! I truly enjoyed serving, Bible study, memorizing Scripture, participating in Student Ministry, singing in the choir, and mission activities. It’s wonderful that some things have not changed.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I first came to TVC in 2009 through the Recovery ministry during a deeply broken season in my marriage. God exposed my fear of being fully known and replaced my fear of abandonment with peace and confidence in Jesus. Though He didn’t restore my marriage, He restored my heart and set me free to love others authentically and share His hope.

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
The talk: We're all "math people" | The myth of the math gene

The reason: It is a lie that there is a "math gene" and that some people have it and some people don't. We are all math people. We all engage in mathematics and mathematical reasoning every day!

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I would be an oboist in a symphony orchestra or a cruise ship activities director

Favorite Hobby:
I enjoy cooking and adapting recipes. I also enjoy going to famous chefs' restaurants when traveling.
