TVC Responsibilities:
God has blessed me with opportunities to serve, teach, and lead others throughout my life, which has prepared me well to serve humbly as a lay elder.

When and how did the Lord save you?
Once we joined TVC, we began to get more involved with our church community and felt our faith as a family growing. Our faith journey eventually led us to pursue a family mission in Guatemala, Mexico. In preparation for our mission, I was personally filled with fear and trepidation, feeling ill-equipped and unworthy of a mission call. The uncertainty of what I was preparing myself (and my family) to do was overwhelming, but I humbly surrendered my fears to the Lord, knowing that He would provide me with the strength and courage to see it through and accomplish His desires.

On the morning of June 13, 2017, I stood alone on the rooftop of the mission house, praying for God to provide clarity as to my purpose and reason for being on this mission. It was then that the Lord revealed to me His reason. My purpose on the mission was not to save others (He would preside over that work). Rather, God called me on that mission to save me. True relationship with my Heavenly Father was found that morning on that rooftop. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at that moment. I was joined on the rooftop by my wife soon afterwards, where I shared the work the Lord had done in my heart, and she too accepted Christ. It was an amazing and beautiful gift for Nina and me to share, and our lives have been forever transformed because of it.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
My wife, Nina, and I have always shared a strong belief and faith in God, which has served as the foundation for our marriage. As our marriage and family began to grow, we continued to grow in our faith and ultimately reached a point where we did an honest assessment of our faith and what we truly believed about God and Jesus. We desired more than Sunday services and felt compelled to find a church where we could truly be in relationship with our Lord and Savior. That desire led us to The Village Church in 2010, and we have been part of our TVC community ever since.
