TVC Responsibilities:
I help grow the culture of prayer in our church through facilitating intercessory prayer spaces, coordinating intercession during services and events, and encouraging and equipping the body to deeper dependence on the Lord through the power of intercession.
When and how did the Lord save you?
I was raised in a home where I was told that the Bible was "a book about morals." There was no talk of Jesus. When I was 25 years old, I worked as the Marketing and Sales Director of a dental lab. A gentleman who provided all of our printing supplies was a believer. Each time he would drop off an order, we would talk, and each time he found a way to weave in a story of the Bible. I was very curious because I didn't know any Bible stories. As a result, when I found myself in a very painful situation, he was the one I called. He was older and single and didn't really know what to do with me, so he invited me to his Men's Bible Study on Wednesday mornings. The leader of that study shared the gospel with me, and I accepted Christ as my Savior.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
My husband, Andy, and I belonged to Irving Bible Church when we got married in 2004. Soon after, we moved to Flower Mound. When our girls were young, we felt the Lord calling us to a church closer to our home. We visited TVC and jumped in with both feet.
If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I wanted to be a cashier at a grocery store.
Favorite Hobby:
I know this is going to sound like such a "church" answer, but honestly, my absolute favorite thing to do is talk about Jesus with anyone—family, a stranger, my friends, an unbeliever, or a believer. I also love to travel and experience the different cultures and foods around the world.
