TVC Responsibilities:
My core responsibilities involve directly caring for the saints, assisting with the day-to-day administrative duties of the ministry, and actively leading our young adults into lives of greater godliness.
When and how did the Lord save you?
I am incredibly fortunate to have been raised in a household where the gospel was consistently proclaimed and embodied, which allowed me to come to faith at a very young age. Through the regular preaching of God’s Word in Sunday school, my parents’ faithful example, and the clear conviction of the Holy Spirit, I recognized that I was a sinner in need of a Savior when I was 8 years old. The summer after coming to faith, I participated in my church’s annual baptism, and the Lord has faithfully continued His sanctifying work in me ever since.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I started attending in September 2018. When I was a senior in high school, I knew I would be relocating to Texas, so I began proactively researching where I should establish my church home. My sister, her family, and several other Texas relatives were already members at TVC. After praying through the decision and recognizing our deep theological alignment, I felt confident that the Lord would work powerfully through my formal membership.
If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I would either present a fun argument on why In-N-Out is a fundamentally superior burger to Whataburger, or I would speak on the necessity of a robust biblical theology that views the entirety of Scripture as a single, unified story that finds its ultimate fulfillment in the finished work of Christ.
If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
Professional rollercoaster designer
Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would be friends with Goofy. He was one of my late grandfather’s favorite Disney characters, which was incredibly fitting since they both possessed beautiful, larger-than-life personalities.
