TVC Responsibilities:
I serve the Transformational Leadership Community (TLC) by setting up the classroom space, helping the leaders in ways that free them up to teach and lead the class, and manage the budget for hospitality and retreats.
When and how did the Lord save you?
I was saved when I was 15 years old. I started going to YoungLife to meet with friends, sing silly songs, and hear a short message about the Lord. The summer of my sophomore year I went to camp with YL, and my life radically changed. My eyes were opened to my sin and my need for the Lord. I gave my life to Christ and was a mess in the best way. I came home from camp changed. I started dating my future husband Chad that same summer and attended church with his family. I was baptized the next summer.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
We came to The Village the summer of 2006. Our previous church didn’t have a Young Adults ministry. It was a small church with few members, and we were desperate for community. Our pastor recommended The Village, and we have been here ever since.
If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I would speak about being a helper to my husband. I love being married and would love to encourage others about the beauty of a thriving, Christ-centered marriage.
If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I would be a Child Life Specialist at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would be friends with Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I love the ocean and I love collecting trinkets.
Favorite Hobby:
I love traveling with my husband and rearranging our house.
