Students Resident

TVC Responsibilities:
As a resident, I assist the Students Ministry with executing a strategy to reach and connect with local middle school and high school students.

When and how did the Lord save you?
I grew up in church and knew the truth of the gospel from a young age, but for many years I looked to others for the identity and approval that could only be found in Christ. Even as I wandered and repeatedly returned to patterns of sin and shame, the Lord faithfully pursued my heart and never stopped calling me back to Himself. During college, He graciously opened my eyes to the emptiness of living for the approval of others and led me to genuine repentance and renewed dependence on Him. Through His grace, I have found freedom from shame and the security of knowing my identity is in Christ alone. Today, I rejoice in the joy, peace, and purpose that come from belonging to Him and desire to help others know that same freedom.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I first came to TVC with my family in 2011 and had the joy of growing up in the church. After graduating from college and moving back to Flower Mound, I returned to TVC because I was looking for a church family rooted in knowing God and making Him known.

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
Formula One! Give me five minutes, and you’ll have a favorite driver. Give me ten, and you’ll be complaining about Ferrari’s strategy.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
I wanted to be a dancer. While I never danced professionally, I was a drill team director!

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
Jim Halpert from The Office. We both appreciate humor, loyalty, and finding joy in the little things.

Favorite Hobby:
I love running, exercising, spending quality time with friends, and reading!
