Life Story

As I look back on my life, it is so easy to see the providence of the Lord through each season. I grew up going to church but had no real understanding of the gospel. Years later at a summer camp on June 17, 1999, the Lord confirmed His call on my life, and I committed my life to following Him. He has been kind to graciously reveal more and more of Himself in the years since.

Early on in my walk with the Lord, He gave me a particular burden for the local church. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2005 with a degree in Biblical Studies. In August 2013, I completed a year-long internship at The Village. In September 2013, the Lord called my family to help plant Redeemer Church of Denton where I served as Associate Pastor overseeing various ministries and shepherding the folks the Lord brought to our church family.

For the past few years, we have felt the Lord stirring a desire to plant a church. In early 2021, He confirmed this calling as well as the way forward in preparing for it through the Church Planting Program at The Village. We are excited to see what the Lord has in store!

The Lord has blessed me with an amazing wife named Mallery. We met in 2008 and were married in May 2010. She is a gift to me and I could not ask for a better helpmate. The Lord added to our family with four children—Caleb, Norah Mei, George, and Peter. We are humbled by His kindness and so grateful.

Hope for The Village Church

My hope is that we would be a people who give our lives wholeheartedly to the service of Jesus the King and the proclamation of the Good News of His kingdom. My prayer is that He would display His great worth in us and empower us to walk as He did, bringing about His good kingdom.
