I was born in Chicago amidst an affair that led to the divorce of my parents. After their split, my mom packed up her three boys and headed back to her homeland—the great state of Texas. I was raised in a non-Christian home, and I knew nothing of Jesus until I was introduced to Him in high school. After being pursued by a local youth group that faithfully shared the gospel with me, I surrendered my life to Jesus. In college, I was taken under the wing of a mentor who began to disciple me in what it meant to truly follow Christ with all my heart, soul and strength.
I spent roughly 10 years serving in college ministry, becoming equipped for the vocational ministry the Lord was leading me toward. During that time, I met my beautiful bride, Tiffany, and we had our first three daughters: Emma, Sara and Abigail. In 2002, I was offered the opportunity to lead the very college ministry that had shaped me for so long.
In the years that followed, I had the privilege of serving as a Campus Pastor in Fresno, California, and Flower Mound, Texas. During our time in Fresno, we had the opportunity to foster and adopt two beautiful daughters, Rebekah and Hannah. Through all of our moves and transitions, we have been tremendously blessed to be able to serve Christ’s Church.
Hope for The Village Church
My hope for The Village is that with our identity in Christ fully embraced, we might unashamedly spend our days proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and inviting others into His reconciling grace.
