The Human Resource Generalist reports to the Human Resource Director. This is a full-time position located in Flower Mound, Texas.

Position Summary

The Human Resource Generalist assists the Human Resource Department with day-to-day human resource compliance, functions, and duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining organizational compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including proper record retention and data storage.
  • Administer and maintain hiring logistics from the posting of a position to the final candidate chosen.
  • Manage and maintain the employee wellness program.
  • Assist in evaluation of existing processes, procedures, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals.
  • Manage the auditing process of our benefit components.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Assist employees with benefit needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of MembershipStatement of Faith, and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Human Resource Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Bachelor degree or work experience in a related field strongly preferred
  • Three or more years of human resource experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Proficient to advanced knowledge of Google Apps, Microsoft Office, and HRIS system
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability 
  • Strong attention to detail, disciplined, and teachable
  • Ability to adapt to a continually evolving environment
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent time management skills
