Celebration Services at The Village are some of the sweetest times for our church family. Together we both see and hear testimony of God’s saving work as men, women and children make a public profession of faith through baptism. And together we remember the sacrifice of Jesus by taking communion.
It’s an election year, and unless you live in a shoe, you have been on the receiving end of both parties’ tireless efforts at courting your vote. With all the mudslinging, name calling and hot-button issues, it can be difficult, as believers, to know how we’re supposed to think about the dogfight that has become this year’s presidential race.
We had the pleasure of spending the week of June 18-22 at Children’s Camp. A total of 250 adults and children descended on Mount Lebanon Baptist Encampment for five days of Bible study, worship, climbing walls, field games, zip towers, lots of walking and a host of other things.
Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
