Middle School (6th - 8th)

We want our middle school students to love, worship and enjoy God through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. By partnering with parents and training leaders, our desire is to make disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication.

Family Worship

Parents with middle school age children are encouraged to worship together as a family during any of our four weekend worship services. To help your child follow along during the service and make the most of this opportunity, Middle School Sermon Guides are available in Connection Central.

Parenting Round Tables

Join other parents each month as we talk about pertinent issues related to parenting. At each round table, a panel of parents will share wisdom and personal experiences around topics such as dating, discipleship in the home, technology and social media, discipline, and parent and child relationships. Coffee and snacks are served. Child care is available.

Middle School Bible Study

Our weekly gathering takes place on Wednesdays, except for the first Wednesday of the month (Elder-led Prayer), and summer V-Games, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Highland Village Worship Center. Students gather corporately for a time of worship and Bible teaching followed by small discussion groups. If it is your child’s first time visiting, please check them in.

V-Games is our weekly summer event that takes the place of Middle School Bible Study, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We play games, teach Scripture and encourage our students to practice gospel-centered multiplication by inviting their friends. We encourage students to bring a water bottle.

The Sunday following Elder-led Prayer, students have the opportunity to connect with other students and volunteers. Check the weekly parent post on The City for the time and location.

Special Needs

If you have a child with special needs, we would love to partner with you in ministering to your child. Please contact our Special Needs ministry for more information.

Baptism

We treat the baptism of children with special care and want to help parents walk through the process with their children. If your middle schooler expresses interest in baptism, set up an interview with our staff so we can help you determine next steps.
