Women's Life & Mentoring

Women's Life & Mentoring is a ministry of encouragement, counsel, guidance, and spiritual growth.

The mentor and mentee will meet together weekly for personal accountability in spiritual growth. The mentor and mentee will study a book of the Bible or book study, journal, memorize scripture and pray together.

Meeting times: once a week for the Fall or Spring Semester

Information and registration for the Fall Semester will be available late summer.

What is Mentoring?

Mentoring is an "intentional" relationship. Spiritually mature women invest themselves in nurturing relationships with spiritually younger women... building new friendships, encouraging, and equipping them as they spend time together in Bible/book study, prayer and fellowship.

A "mentor" is a woman who is a practicing Christian, having the desire to let her life be an example and godly role model. She is not perfect, nor is she a Theologian! She simply wants to encourage and support another woman in her walk with Christ, sharing her life experiences.

A "mentee" is a woman who is younger in her walk with the Lord, and wishes to have another Christian woman encourage her growth and development in Christ. Whether she is a new Christian, or wants to grow closer to God at this time, having a spiritual mentor for support is her heart's desire.

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Troubled Hearts

There are times when we find ourselves isolated and discouraged. We are in need of immediate help and support to deal with a situation. Troubled hearts will assign a short term emergency mentor to come along side you to be of help. The mentor assigned will be one who has dealt with similar struggles.

Life N' Home

Two mentors are paired with a group of women or a single Home Group who meet once a month in a home setting. The Life Mentor helps the younger women with relevant life issues while the Home Mentor provides training and support in household areas.
